These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at jlandgroup.com and your engagement of services from J Land Contracting, Inc. (“J Land Contracting”, “we”, “us”), a licensed contractor located at 3636 Glenoble Court, Jefferson, Maryland 21755. By using this website or requesting services, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services

We provide residential and commercial roofing services across Maryland, including roof replacement, roof repair, storm and hail damage restoration, roof renovation, free inspections, and assistance coordinating property insurance claims. We serve Frederick, Washington, Carroll, Baltimore, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties and Baltimore City.

Estimates and Inspections

Roof inspections are provided free of charge and carry no obligation. Estimates are based on the condition observed at the time of inspection and on available measurement data.

Estimates are not binding contracts. Conditions that cannot reasonably be seen before work begins — such as deteriorated decking, hidden water damage, or structural issues discovered during tear-off — may require a change to the scope and price. We will inform you and obtain your approval before performing any additional work.

Unless stated otherwise in writing, an estimate is valid for 30 days.

Insurance Claims

Where you ask us to, we can document damage, meet your adjuster on site, and communicate with your insurance company about your claim.

We are a contractor, not a public adjuster, an attorney, or an insurance company. We do not negotiate settlements on your behalf, provide legal advice, or guarantee that any claim will be approved, or approved at any particular amount. Decisions about your claim rest entirely with your insurance carrier. You remain responsible for your policy deductible.

Scheduling and Weather

Roofing work depends on weather and material availability. Scheduled dates are estimates and may change. We will keep you informed of any change as early as we can.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your signed contract or proposal. Where work is covered by an insurance claim, payment schedules generally follow the carrier’s disbursement of funds. Any deposit, progress payment, and final payment terms will be stated in that contract.

Warranties

Workmanship and manufacturer warranty terms are set out in your signed contract. Manufacturer warranties on materials are provided by the manufacturer and governed by their terms, not ours. Warranties may be void where damage results from later storms, alterations by others, structural movement, or failure to maintain the roof.

J Land Contracting, Inc. is a licensed and insured home improvement contractor in Maryland. Licensing information is available on request, and Maryland Home Improvement Commission licenses can be verified through the MHIC public license search.
